50-Plus? Which Driver Shaft Should You Try?

Short · 0:58 watch time

Start with measured clubhead speed and compare results, rather than choosing a shaft by age.

Take it to practice.

Flex describes how easily a shaft bends. L traditionally means ladies. A originally meant amateur and is now commonly called senior or light flex. R means regular, S means stiff, and X means extra stiff. These names do not decide who should use a shaft.

Shaft labels and recommended speed ranges vary by model. Weight, profile, length, tempo and delivery can affect the choice. Watch the full explanation and compare suitable options with a qualified fitter.

Adapt to your ability, the space and the conditions. Demonstrations are illustrative. Watch the full lesson and its YouTube description for context and references.
