Explore one lead-hand placement cue for a repeatable putting grip.
For a right-handed golfer using a conventional grip: • Find the crease curving around the base of your left thumb. • Seat the grip's front-left edge against that reference. • Close your fingers with secure, comfortable pressure. • Set up and make a smooth stroke with the same settled connection.
This is one lead-hand placement cue, drawing on Stan Utley's instruction. It can help you find the same hold without squeezing hard; it does not physically lock your wrist or replace a complete grip lesson. Adapt it with a qualified coach if the fit feels uncomfortable.
Adapt to your ability, the space and the conditions. Demonstrations are illustrative. Watch the full lesson and its YouTube description for context and references.
